Chopta Chandrashila Trek Planning
This is one trek which you can plan for yourself without needing a travel operator. From Rishikesh, one has to drive to Ukhimath (170 km) town and further to Chopta from there (30 km). Spend a night at a guest around Chopta and next day go for this 10-km hike. Pack some lunch as well as there are limited options on the trail. If you reach early you should spend few hours Chandrashila peak and admire the nature. Hike back to Chopta, which shouldn’t take long. Deoria tal plan can be added if you have an extra day to explore the place. There is lodges and forest guest house at Deoria Tal as well.
