Federation Square

An integral part of the city and a great place for tourists to start their sightseeing. The ultra-modern design of open and closed spaces juxtaposes the surrounding Victorian architectural buildings. Hosting more than 2,000 events annually, this is a true entertainment spot for tourists. The central outdoor performance space and intimate indoor venues are a great combo for tourists.

Royal Exhibition Building

The building is a landmark 19th-century exhibition center, topped with a dome, and set amid landscaped gardens. An architecturally brilliant place with a long history and marked as a World Heritage Site, the building can easily access by trams. The classical iconic building is home to a host of great events. There are beautiful and well-maintained gardens outside the building.

National Sports Museum

The Museum is dedicated to Australian Sport and is located within the Melbourne Cricket Ground. There are exhibits for sports such as cricket, Australian rules football, the summer and winter Olympic games, tennis rugby league, rugby union, soccer, basketball, boxing, and netball. The Australian sports Hall of Fame is also located within the museum along with the Australian Racing Museum and the Melbourne Cricket Club Museum.

Melbourne Star Observation Wheel

An enormous rotating observatory wheel with 360-degree views. The wheel provides a view of the city from the top and is quite an adventure. The thrilling experience leaves the people awestruck and has a value for money.

St. Pauls Cathedral

Standing as a spectacular example of Gothic Revival style architecture, the Cathedral was constructed as a site of worship for members of the Catholic Archdiocese faith. The Cathedral is huge and well maintained, emitting a feeling of inspiration that can only be truly described upon visiting. The building’s glorious interior is mesmerizing in its beauty, with numerous opportunities for photography. 

Eureka Skydeck 88

Created to reach for the sky, an ideal place to get a phenomenal view of the city. The Skydeckfeatures thirty viewfinders that help visitors to pinpoint numerous significant landmarks around all parts of Melbourne, along with several free binoculars. Not to be missed is Skydeck 88’s “The Edgewhich is a glass cube which projects 3 meters out from the building which is suspended almost 300 m above the ground.

SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium

The Aquarium is a the Southern Ocean and Antarctic aquarium in Central Melbourne, Australia. It is located on the banks of the Yarra River beside and under the Kings Street Bridge. The attraction is a Sea Life Center owned by Merlin Entertainments. The aquarium conducts extensive research into marine species, with the Aquarium’s conservation efforts. 

Melbourne Zoo

The Royal Melbourne Zoological Gardens, commonly known as the Melbourne Zoo, contains more than 320 animal species from Australia and around the world. The zoo is 4 km north of the center of Melbourne. It is accessible via Royal Park Station on Upfield Railway Line, and also accessible via tram routes.

Fitzroy Gardens

Garden spread in an area of 26 hectares located on the southeastern edge in East Melbourne, Australia. The gardens are one of the major Victorian Era landscaped gardens in Australia and add to Melbourne’s claim to being the garden city of Australia. The gardens are home to wildlife making the city gardens especially enjoyable for overseas visitors and locals alike. 

Great Ocean Road

An important tourist attraction in the region, this is a stretch of road along the south-eastern coast of Australia. The Great Ocean Walk connects 104 km of walking trials that follow the coastline near the Great Ocean Road, stretching from Apollo Bay. Known as one of the world’s great scenic routes, the mesmerizing view leaves the visitors spellbound by the beauty.

Phillip Island

The beautiful island has a rich biodiversity. The island is identified by Birdlife International because of its importance in supporting significant populations of fairy penguins, short-tailed shearwaters, and Pacific Gulls. In addition, there is a wildlife park where wallabies and kangaroos roam freely amongst the visitors. The other than local population of critically endangered endemic Burrunan dolphins or migratory Killer Whales, Southern Whales and Humpback Whales are starting to show recovery in the area. A place is an amazing place for tourists who get to see a whole new world in the place. 

Royal Botanic Garden

A picturesque haven for recreation and an important resource for Education, Conservation, Science, and Horticulture. The garden is a delight for nature lovers with the lush green environment and a lot of space for a picnic and other recreation activities.

Queen Victoria Market

A landmark of the city with a fruit and vegetable market along with the large non-food related market, selling a diverse range of clothing, shoes, jewelry and handmade arts and crafts. The market is a must visit tourist destination with a friendly competition between stallholders and their concern for customers is what gives the market its old world charm and the addictive power to draw millions of visitors each year.
