It is the leading Financial, Commercial and Cultural center for Nevada. The city is known by various names like “Vegas”, “Sin City”, “City of Lights”, “The Gambling Capital of the World”, “Capital of Second Chances”, “The Marriage Capital of the World”, “The Silver City”, “and America’s Playground”.

The major attractions in the city are Casinos and hotels. The city also has about 68 parks. The city is framed for its vibrant nightlife centered on 24-hour casinos and other entertainment options. Its main street and the focal point are The Strip. This boulevard is a home to themed hotels with elaborate displays such as fountains synchronized to music as well as replicas of an Egyptian Pyramid, The Venetian Canal, and the Eiffel Tower. Las Vegas has a lot to offer to tourists which come from worldwide to visit this amazing city.

Las Vegas Strip

The Las Vegas Strip is a stretch of South Las Vegas Boulevard in Clark Country, Nevada, known for its concentration of resort hotels and casinos.The Strip is approximately 4.2 miles in length and is considered a scenic route at night. Many of the largest hotel, casino, and resort are located on the Las Vegas Strip. One of the most visible aspects of the city’s cityscape is its use of Architectural lights. The rapidly evolving skyline and constant modernization of hotels, casinos, restaurants, residential high-rises and entertainment offerings on the Strip, have established it as one of the most popular destinations for tourists in the United States, and the World.

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area

The entertainment city also has a treat for the nature lovers which is this place which is a natural wonder with red rocks drawing those looking to hike, rock climbing or interested in a scenic drive. The conservation area showcases a set of large red rock formations; a set of sandstone peaks and walls called the Keystone Thrust. Red Rock provides a variety of activities, the most popular being hiking, biking, rock scrambling, and rock climbing, horseback riding and camping are also allowed on specific trails and in designated areas.

Freemont Street Experience

It is a pedestrian mall open 24-hour featuring a barrel vault canopy, 90 feet high at the peak. Concerts which are usually free are also held on three stages in this street. The venue has become a major tourist attraction for downtown Las Vegas and also for the city’s annual New Year’s Eve party, complete with fireworks on the display screen.

The Mob Museum

The museum is dedicated to featuring the artifacts, stories, and history of organized crime in the United States as well as the actions and initiatives by law enforcement to prevent such crimes. A visitor can sit in a replica electric chair, listen to actual wire tapes, train in a police stimulator, or fire an actual Tommy Gun. Visitors can also learn about Las Vegas’ first casinos.

Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay

It is a public aquarium located at and owned by the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Its main tank is 1,300,000 US gallons, one of the largest in North America. The facility displays different species of shark, rays, fish, reptiles and marine invertebrates. It also features a shark tunnel.

Springs Preserve

This is a nature focused complex with a preserve, botanical gardens and walking paths, museum galleries, outdoor concerts, event venues, an indoor theater, historic photo gallery and a wetland habitat. It is a delight for tourists looking for natural sites.

Adventure Dome

It is a Climate-Controlled Amusement park featuring rides, arcade, midway and miniature golf. The place is formally known as the Grand Slam Canyon located at Circus Circus in Las Vegas.  The park includes attractions including the Canyon Blaster roller coaster, rock climbing wall, 18-hole miniature golf course, a video game arcade, clown shows, Virtual Reality Zone, Midway games and Carnival type games.

Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs

A natural park spanning an area of more than 2,000 acres with picnic areas, lakes and wildlife such as ducks and peacocks. The park is centered on Tule Springs, a series of small lakes that formed an oasis in this part of the Mojave Desert. It is one of the larger urban retreats in the Las Vegas Valley.

Clark County Wetlands Park

The park is located on the east side of the Las Vegas Valley and runs from the various water treatment plants near the natural beginning of the Las Vegas Washto where the Wash flows under Lake Las Vegas. The park has a nature center that displays about the park’s plants and animals and there are miles of walking paths in the park. The two main purposes of the park are to reduce the environmental impact of the waste water and the other purpose is education which is obtained by the display of how the wash looked before and how much impact people have on the environment.

There are many other amazing places in the city of Las Vegas including the famous hotels and casinos like Bellagio, The Mirage, Stratosphere, Golden Nugget, The D, Plaza Hotel and Casino, El Cortez, California Hotel and Casino and many others. There are also a lot of entertainment centers like Centennial Hills Park, The Big Shot, Ed Fountain Park and The X-Scream and also a number of museums including The Las Vegas Natural History Museum, Neon Museum, Discovery Children’s Museum, Marjorie Barrick Museum and Burlesque Hall of Fame. These various attractions make the city of Las Vegas one of the most visited city in the United States of America.
