Kinner Kailash, also called Kinnaur Kailash, is a dome-shaped peak in Himachal Pradesh in north India, falling in Kinnaur district (and thus getting this name). It gets its name Kailash, owing to the resemblance with Mount Kailash in Tibet. For the locals, the Kinner Kailash pilgrimage is a journey of faith in lord Shiva. For mountaineers, this trek is a mix of exploring the Himalayan geology and experience religious faith, at the same time.
The pilgrimage or Kinner Kailash trek is up to near the Shivling dome that rises near the peak. The Shivling dome is the epitome of Lord Shiva, and locals and pilgrim from near and far make sure to visit this shrine at least once in their life. The trekking experience of Kinner Kailash would give the vibe of Hinduism as the trek is dotted with temples all through. But at the same time, Kinner Kailash yatra also gives you a breathtaking view of the high Himalayan peaks, and experience the beautiful landscapes of mountains.
The preparations for Kinner Kailash trek should be made well in advance. Attention needs to be paid to the fitness and towards arranging proper trekking equipment. Although, it is a short trek one must be well equipped for touring in High altitude mountains.

- Footwear: Trekking Boots (snow and water proof), normal walking boots, and floaters. Few pairs of warm/woolen socks.
